ARC Review: Rent a Boyfriend by Gloria Chao

Rating: ★★★☆☆

I really enjoyed how authentic this book was. This book included the tone markings with Mandarin words and the author also explained the system and significance of tone markings in the beginning of the book. I have not read many books that include tone markings with mandarin words and explain them. I really liked that it was explained so that readers who don’t understand Mandarin would be able to understand the reason for the tone markings.

Mid-Year Freak Out Tag

I was tagged by the one and only…

ME! I sound so lame 😂😂😂. I saw this floating around on the book blogging and booktube world, and I needed to do at least one wrap-up before the year-end wrap-up (I still haven’t written my Q1 reading wrap-up and I think it’s too late to do so). Naturally, I thought this tag was a great idea to use as a mid-year wrap-up.

ARC Review: Heiress Apparently by Diana Ma

Rating: ★★☆☆☆

“This epic first installment in the Daughter of the Dynasty series is sure to appeal to fans of American Royals and Loveboat, Taipei.”

That’s me. I am a huge fan of both of these but was not a huge fan of Heiress Apparently apparently (Sorry, I had to do it).

My Most Anticipated Reads (for the Second Half) of 2021

Sorry I’m a bit late with this list; I’ve been super busy lately!

These books are listed in the order that they will be published (June to December). Like I said in My Most Anticipated Reads for the First Half of 2021 (the first part of this post), I decided to split my list into two parts because some books that will be published later in the year don’t (didn’t) have titles and/or covers yet. The formatting of this post will be different from the first post as I hate the way that I formatted it. It’s so confusing and awkward to read (sorry 🙈).
